Support roles

Introduction

Social care support roles include Administrator, Employment Advisor, Housing Support Officer, Social Care Prescriber, Volunteer Coordinator and Welfare Rights Officer.

An Employment Advisor supports speople who need care and support to find and maintain employment.

Housing Support Officers support people who need care and support to help them live independently, find housing and maintain their tenancy.

Social Care Prescribers connect people with non-medical support in the community to improve their wellbeing and tackle social isolation.

A Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for finding, managing and coordinating volunteers across an organisation or location.

Welfare Rights Officers advise people around matters relating to legislation such as housing benefits, disability living allowances, employment benefits and rent support.
